I remember exactly where I was when I had this thought in early 2022. With my mom in the next room, and tears in my eyes, I realized that if I had never joined her in this adventure, I would never have truly known her genius and bravery.
My mom came to visit so that she could teach me how to create each formulation. We had been talking about doing this for over a year, and now it was really happening!
Although I had been a big supporter of Real Raw Beauty since she started, and had worked with her behind the scenes, it wasn’t until we were actually creating skincare products that I had a full appreciation for her ingenuity and persistence to bring her ideas into the world.

As we talked, her in-depth knowledge of each ingredient from her health background blended with her training as an esthetician. It was incredible. It was a beautiful moment where I got to fully see her gifts and the strength it took to share her gifts with the world. How many of us get to actually see our mom in the role of as a strong woman, not just our mom?! Honestly–I will treasure that weekend, and the gift of fully appreciating my mom for the rest of my life! It has been such a gift to work with her. And it has been such a joy to continue my mom’s beautiful legacy of clean products that nourish. Thank you so much for all your kind words and encouragement over the past month!! |
